## What is Blocked in China?

Blocked in China is a WordPress plugin built with the **China-focused entrepreneur** in mind. Websites of all sizes use the plugin to **continuously check if their site is available in mainland China** using servers from different regions inside the country.

If you're selling into the China market, running a content site that targets Chinese readers, or just want to know whether your domain is reachable behind the Great Firewall — this plugin tells you, on whatever cadence you choose.

## How Does It Work?

When you run a status check, your site's URL is sent to the Blocked in China API at `api.blockedinchina.io`. The API forwards the request to a third-party data processor (currently [viewdns.info](https://viewdns.info)) which tests reachability from multiple Chinese provinces and returns results to your WordPress dashboard.

Results are displayed in a table showing each province, the IP address tested against, and whether your site was reachable from that location.

**One monthly status check is included in the free version.** Download Blocked in China from [WordPress.org](https://wordpress.org/plugins/blocked-in-china/). Paid plans unlock weekly, daily, and hourly checks plus full logging.
