# Troubleshooting Guide

If you run into any issues using the Blocked in China plugin, we are here to support you 100%. Please follow these instructions in order for our team to provide the most efficient support possible.

### Ruling out Plugin or Theme Conflicts

Because plugins and themes are open-source in the WordPress space, any developer can contribute code to them. This often leads to conflicts among different plugins or themes which can cause all kinds of bugs or errors on your site.

In order to identify if plugins or themes are conflicting and which specific products are causing the problem, please follow this process below.

1. Temporarily deactivate all plugins on your site except Blocked in China and activate a default WordPress theme (like Twenty Twenty Two).
2. Run a Status Check.
   1. If it works, excellent! Now we know it's a plugin conflict. Continue to step #3.
   2. If it doesn't work, it could be something else. Contact support with the details requested below and we'll work on a solution as quickly as possible.
3. Reactivate each plugin one by one, attempting to run a status check or retry your desired action after each activation.
4. Once the problem recurs, you've identified which plugin or theme is causing the issue. Please contact support and report which plugin or theme is conflicting with the details requested below. We'll either issue a fix or contact the developers of the other product to request a fix. If it's possible to do so, we will provide a workaround in the meantime.

### Contacting Support
